Hello! Thanks so much for stopping by.
This blog is about many things, but it’s mostly about me and my recent life adventures of being a productive member of society in the DC area and wherever else I choose!
After graduating from the University of Virginia armed with a BA in Drama (and a French minor), I lived in France, working as an English Teaching Assistant in Chambéry, France for the 2014-2015 academic year through TAPIF! Read all about it here. I returned home and spent an amazing year working in a public elementary school, while continuing to dabble in theatre, and then packed up my bags for France once again. This time I am heading a little further south to the Phocaean City, Marseille to teach English in three primary schools. After two amazing years in Marseille, I am now based in Toulouse, where I’m currently working towards a Masters in teaching English and preparing the dreaded CAPES concours in order to become a full-time English teacher in France!
This blog also has posts from when I interned in Paris during college. If you have any questions about either experience, please feel free to contact me using the form below! I would be happy to answer any of your questions about my internship, teaching in French elementary schools, TAPIF, Chambéry, Marseille, Toulouse, French universities, the CAPES, wine and baguettes, living in DC, being unemployed or anything really!
